Assif Stoffman- Executive Chairman

As an Executive Vice Preseident at Ofer Hitech, a leading Israeli investment firm, Assif brings with him extensive expertise in healthcare industry investments, as well as significant experience in entrepreneurial endeavors. Prior to his position as EVP, Assif served as the CEO of Naiot (The Ofer Hi-Tech incubator), where he led various investments in innovative start-up companies focused on healthcare, software and internet. Assif also played an active role in refining strategies and supporting the management teams of these companies. Currently Assif serves on the boards of EndoCross, Checkmarx, Intratech, AngioSlide, and EZSurgical.

 

Yaron Eshel – Chief Operating Officer & Compliance Manager

Since joining EndoCross in early 2008, Yaron has been involved in all aspects of the company including product development as well as supply chain and facility management. As the company’s Compliance Manager, Yaron developed and implemented our quality requirements and regulatory strategy; successfully filing for CE mark and FDA approvals.

Prior to joining EndoCross, Yaron has worked for a number of medical device companies in both regulatory and operational positions. As the Operations Manager of Portland Orthopedics Ltd., Yaron was responsible for production scheduling and project management, in addition to the day-to-day running of the manufacturing facility.

Yaron has a Bachelor’s of Science and Mathematics from the University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia, and an Executive MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

 

Dr. Maurice Buchbinder- Chief Medical Officer

Maurice Buchbinder, MD, F.A.C.C, F.S.C.A.I, is the Chief Medical Officer of EndoCross. Dr. Buchbinder completed his internship while specializing in internal medicine at McGill University, and fulfilled his residency and fellowship duties in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Stanford University. Dr. Buchbinder has been practicing medicine since 1983 and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.

After completing his specialty training while in full time clinical practice, Dr Buchbinder founded several successful medical start-ups in the device arena, specifically addressing innovations in interventional cardiology. He sold his first company/patented device at the age of thirty-four. Throughout his entrepreneurial career, Dr Buchbinder has patented over twenty more devices with a focus on percutaneous balloons, stents, atherectomy devices, bradytherapy, and structural heart devices. He continues to be an innovator in the field and is currentlyconcentrating on expanding the reach of percutaneous techniques for the treatment of valvular heart disease.

Dr. Buchbinder serves as the Medical Director for the Foundation for Cardiovascular Medicine, a non-profit research and education organization in San Diego, California. Dr. Buchbinder also serves on the Scientific Advisory of every major Cardiovascular Company in the field.

 

Eran Hirszowicz – Chief Technology Officer & Founder

Mr. Hirszowicz is the Chief Technology Officer and founder of EndoCross Ltd. In addition to his role at EndoCross , Mr. Hirszowicz is the CEO of Gali-Tech, a research and development company, specializing in medical devices.

Over the years, Mr. Hirszowicz has been at the forefront of the industry, paving the way through various entrepreneurial activities and the development of many major innovative medical devices in use today.

Mr. Hirszowicz holds a B.Sc. in physics from the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa and a M.Sc. in Medical Physics from Tel Aviv University.

 

Alon May – VP Engineering & Operations

Alon May joined EndoCross in 2010 and is responsible for the company’s Engineering & Operations activities.

Prior to joining EndoCross, Mr. May served as the engineering and manufacturing manager at SuperDimension, an Israeli hi-tech company in the medical device arena which has become a world-leader in the diagnostics and therapeutics of lung cancer. In his previous positions Mr. May was responsible for developing manufacturing processes aimed at improving products manufacturing scalability, efficiency and supply chain management. In addition, Alon was responsible for managing the ongoing catheter production activities.

Alon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Israeli Institute of Technology (Technion) in Haifa and is a Major (reserve) in the Israeli Navy.
